Frequently asked questions
The things people most often ask about Weno — how splitting works, where listings come from, pricing, and how to join the waitlist.
- What is Weno?
- Weno is a travel app that handles a full group trip in one place — finding a stay, deciding with friends, booking, and splitting the cost. It works solo too: you can plan a trip alone and invite friends in later if it turns into a group trip.
- Is Weno free?
- Yes — Weno is free for travelers. There are no subscriptions, no booking fees, and no service charges added at checkout. Weno earns commissions from accommodation partners when a booking is made through the app, the same way most travel sites work.
- Can I use Weno alone?
- Yes. Weno works for solo trips: search, shortlist, book, and keep your itinerary in one dashboard. The chat, voting, and cost-splitting features simply don't appear when you're the only person on the trip — and you can invite friends in at any point to turn it into a group trip without starting over.
- How does cost splitting work?
- Weno splits group bookings four ways: equally (same amount per person), per person (pro-rated by nights stayed), per room (each room's price divided among the people sleeping in it), or custom (set exact amounts or percentages). Every traveler sees their share before the booking is confirmed — no spreadsheets, no chasing payments after the trip.
- When can I use it?
- Weno is in pre-launch. Apps for iPhone and Android are coming soon, and the web version is currently a landing page with a waitlist. Join the waitlist at weno.travel and we'll email you when early access opens.
